About Doctor Bob

Robert O’Dowda Stephens (or Dr. Bob) is many things to many people. He is a healer, a medical doctor, a missionary, a traveler, a family man, and a story teller who loves sharing his experiences, especially about the hospital that he established in the jungles of the Belgian Congo. Among many rich, exciting experiences, he was the first Executive Director of EMAS (Evangelical Medical Aid Society) which brought medical equipment and training to colleagues around the world. In 2006, this Canadian of Irish decent, was made a member of the Order of Canada for his Humanitarian works throughout the world.

He who has loved greatly is greatly loved. With the intention with which this husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend lives his life, may these stories be a blessing to all who read them.
